Part 1: Overview

Before starting

Be sure to read the eGauge owner's manual including all safety and installation information. Installation must be completed by a licensed electrician according to all applicable local, national and international codes.

The documentation in this section covers the steps that must be completed for a successful eGauge meter installation:

  1. Physical Installation - Connecting voltage and sensors.
  2. Connectivity - Connecting to your eGauge interface.
  3. Configuration - Configuring your eGauge settings correctly for accurate readings.
  4. Verification - Verifying your installation and configuration settings for accuracy.



Record eGauge Identifying Information

Before mounting the eGauge within its enclosure, record the identifying information from the stickers on the side of the meter. 

The unique login credentials on the left-hand side sticker and the ETH MAC address on the right-hand side will be needed for future reference. The last pages of the owner's manual can be used record installation details. Each meter has unique information, shown below is an example of what the labels may look like:
